The people who run our legal talent practice — not the talent we place, but the team building your staffing solution.

Founder & CEO | Sharpe Legal Staffing
For Nicole Sharpe, law and staffing have never been separate worlds—they have been part of her life since childhood.
Nicole grew up watching her mother operate a family law practice, giving Nicole a front-row seat to a demanding profession where great professionals can lose enormous amounts of valuable time when they don't have the right people supporting them.
That realization ultimately became the foundation of her career. At just 15 years old, Nicole began answering phones and performing administrative work in her mother's law firm. She continued working while attending college, using the income to help finance her education. But she was learning something far more valuable than administrative skills—she was learning how a law practice actually operates.
Her mother frequently complained about the countless hours she spent handling administrative responsibilities instead of practicing law. Nicole's response was instinctive: find good people who could take that work off her plate.
Nicole began recruiting help for the practice and quickly discovered an unusual strength. She didn't simply match résumés with job descriptions; she had an instinct for matching personality, work ethic, communication style and experience with the culture of the organization. Her mother was so impressed with the results that Nicole was given responsibility for the firm's staffing and HR needs.
That ability eventually became a profession.
In 2013, Nicole entered staffing full-time in Los Angeles, building experience recruiting and placing professionals while developing long-term relationships with employers and candidates. Over the years, one thing has remained remarkably consistent: clients appreciate her ability to listen carefully, understand what they actually need, and find people who fit—not simply people who qualify.
Today, as Founder and CEO of Sharpe Legal Staffing, Nicole brings years of staffing experience together with the industry that shaped her earliest professional life: law.
Her philosophy remains the same one she discovered years ago in her mother's office:
The right person doesn't simply fill a position. The right person gives you your time back.

Senior Director, Legal Talent
Katherine "Kate" Sullivan brings more than 30 years of legal experience to Sharpe Legal Staffing, including an extensive career as a litigation attorney in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Before joining Sharpe Legal Staffing, Kate practiced as a litigation attorney, representing clients in complex disputes involving contracts, business disputes, property owners, and insurers. Her experience spans civil litigation, contract disputes, payment claims, discovery, mediation, arbitration, and complex commercial litigation.
During her legal career, Kate developed particular expertise in document-intensive matters, where a single dispute can involve thousands of pages of contracts, correspondence, schedules, reports, and discovery materials.
After retiring from the active practice of law, Kate brought that experience to Sharpe Legal Staffing, where she helps law firms identify the specialized legal and technical talent necessary to support demanding caseloads.
Her attorney background gives her an uncommon advantage in legal staffing: she understands the work because she has done the work. Kate can speak directly with attorneys about their workflow, caseload pressures, discovery demands, and staffing gaps and help identify professionals whose experience matches the actual needs of the matter.
